Hadar Ben Yehuda

An artist, writer, and editor, as well as a social media, community, and content project manager. My work focuses on culture, art, and organizations for social change, with a particular emphasis on building digital communities for cultural institutions and nonprofits. I’m actively involved in environmental and urban struggles, and advocate for women’s rights and survivors of sexual assault.

I was born in Tel Aviv and currently live in Ein Kerem and Armon Hanatziv, Jerusalem. I’m a screenwriter and a graduate of the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School. I was one of the founding members of the content department at the National Library of Israel, where I helped launch the blogs The Librarians and HaMusach – The Garage, an online supplement for Israeli poetry, fiction, criticism, essays, and art. I also managed the National Library’s social media channels, as well as the digital platforms of the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel.

These days, I’m the senior producer at Van Leer Institute Press Along with my work, I lecture about libraries, books and online content, and write about children’s and youth literature on “The Journey to the Island of Maybe – Travels in Children’s and Youth Literature.”
